Will Aamir Khan Turn 'Man Friday' For Salim Kumar?

Every filmmaker dreams to see his film getting nominated at the prestigious Oscar Awards and director Saleem Ahmed's dream came true when his National Award winning film Adaminte Makan Abu was selected as India's official entry to the Academy Awards.

But instead of rejoicing, the makers of the film are worried about it. Ahmed says that he require at least Rs. 2 Crore for marketing the film. He said that his team has already started preparing for the event. He further informed that Film Federation of India (FFI) has requested the Union Minster of Information and Broadcast Ambika Soni for providing financial help to the film.

Meanwhile, the main lead of the film Salim Kumar, who won the National Award for his acting in Adaminte Makan Abu, is hoping to get some useful tips from none other than Aamir Khan.

Salim Kumar was quoted to have said, "None of the big names of Malayalam film industry has bothered to even acknowledge Adaminte Makan Abu's selection as official entry to the Oscars. I am turning to Aamir Khan to learn about problems that low-budget film makers face in promoting their movies in the run up to the Oscars."

Aamir already has first hand experience about the Academy Awards as he was very much present there for his Oscar-nominated film 'Lagaan' in 2002.
