| Biography | Born in Leeds, the eldest son of Colin and Pat Cawood, he grew up in Bradford, West Yorkshire. He attended Bingley Grammar School from 1970 - 1977 before joining the Fire Brigade in 1978.Steve always had an interest in the science of fires, explosions and weaponry and a chance encounter with an armourer, whilst working as a supporting artist, led him in a new direction.Steve has since worked as a freelance armourer for Armoury In Action and as a freelance SFX technician for Quicksilver SFX, Future Effects and Any Effects; mainly on television but with the occasional foray into low budget features.Steve is married to Julie and has two daughters, Nicola and Helen, from his first marriage and a step-daughter, Laura-May. |
